is this a subscription service or do i need to opt in every week?

we are confident you will love our service, but we want you to have the opportunity to try it out first without commitment, so the first week will be just a one time purchase plus the setup fee.

After that, you will have the option to sign up for a subscription or order week-to-week. regardless of your selection, we will send you the weekly menu and order form each week

what is the timeline for sign up/meal selection/delivery each week?

this is the weekly schedule we plan to use at the start of the program:

  • Monday: weekly menu order form sent out via email

  • wednesday: weekly deadline to fill out the menu order form, weekly cutoff date for new sign ups

  • monday: next week’s menu available online for review

  • monday: food delivery and used tupperware pickup

can I upgrade / downgrade my plan?

of course! just email us with your request and we’ll help to adjust your plan as needed.

is there a fee for delivery?

since delivery is a key component of this service, it is already included as part of the plan’s cost.

what are the eligible delivery locations ?

we are working with our delivery partner bentocart to enable delivery within the san francisco Bay area.

why are you packaging the meals in reusable tupperware?

if you had the time to meal prep for yourself, chances are it would be packed into tupperware, and so we wanted to replicate that homey experience. as an added bonus, tupperware can be reused over and over to reduce waste, unlike single use food packaging.

How do I return the tupperware?

Once you’ve finished using the tupperware, clean and place the tupperware and ice pack back into the cooler bag the delivery came in. Our drivers will pick this up during the next delivery. If you do not plan to have another delivery, we will coordinate with you to setup a pickup time.

where you do source your ingredients from? is everything organic?

we do not use all organic ingredients, but use the highest quality chicken (Mary’s) and meats available to us, and organic vegetables when it makes sense cost wise.

we also consciously choose not to use the following ingredients: vegetable oils, high fructose syrups, preservatives, sulfites, artificial ingredients, and msg.

what is the difference between individual and family sizes?

for individual plans, a main+side serves 2. for family plans, a main+side serves 4. all lunch kits serve 4.

how long does the meal prep stay fresh for?

we recommend eating the food within 3-4 days of receiving it. the food will come in a cooler bag so the contents will need to be refrigerated. We recommend transferring the food out of the Tupperware to be reheated.

what is a lunch kit and how many meals/servings is it?

a lunch kit consists of either salad, soup, or both (half and half). It is approximately 4 servings or meals.

what can I expect to receive if I order a salad lunch kit?

you can expect a resealable bag containing washed and cut greens, a tupperware full of freshly cut veggies, a glass jar with fresh vinaigrette or dressing, and a tupperware container with the grains, protein, and any cooked ingredients. we separate the ingredients so you can assemble the salad right before you eat, enjoy the freshest, most delicious version of the salad.

how should i reheat the food?

we will share reheating instructions, but understand that sometimes the microwave is your best friend. We recommend transferring the mains and sides you’d like to eat onto a plate or bowl prior to reheating. remember to reheat just the portion you plan on eating.

Do you offer any meals specific to certain diets (eg. keto, whole30, low fodmap, etc)?

Our meals are designed with balance in mind. We currently don’t offer any specific items tailored toward diets, but we may consider expanding our offerings if there is enough interest. We also are currently unable to provide the nutritional information for each item.

Can you accommodate specific modifications from the set menu?

Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to serve special requests. If you have any concerns about dietary restrictions or allergies, please contact us directly and we can answer any questions about the menu.
